Newly Improved Deals on Citi Diamond Preferred Rewards and CashReturns

The Citi Diamond Preferred and Citi CashReturns, already good deals, just got better.

The Citi Diamond Preferred Rewards MasterCard now offers 0% on purchases and blance transfers for up to 15 months (previously 7 & 12 months, respectively). In addition, new card holders get 6,000 ThankYou Points if they spend $300 in the first 3 months – enough for a $50 gift card. However, holding out for 10,000 points earns a $100 gift card.

Also, the Citi CashReturns card now offers 0% on balance transfers for up to 18 months (previously 15 months), and 2% back for the first 6 months followed by 1% thereafter. We say get a 2% rewards card like Fidelity Investment Rewards American Express or Discover Escape if you’re just after the rewards, but nobody can touch Citi’s 0% for up to 18 months on balance transfers.
