Respectable Rewards

We’ve been pretty on and off with Citi’s rewards program over the past year, seeing them change for the better then dip back into bad habits. As of right now, we’re on board with what they have to offer. So, even if Citi’s rewards programs aren’t the best in the biz, this signup bonus offers just enough value to pique our interest.

In addition to this limited time bonus, the ThankYou Preferred offers 1% back on all purchases, and a 1% anniversary bonus each year you’re a cardmember.

This may seem skimpy, but if you spend just the $6,000 in 12 months, you’ll effectively bump up the underwhelming 1% base rate to a 7.8% overall rate (base rate, signup and anniversary bonus combined). Not too shabby considering this is a no-fee card. Also, unlike this bonus offer, these points don’t expire, and there’s no limit on how much you can earn. Reward yourself this holiday season, and sign up for the Citi ThankYou Preferred today!

Do you know how long this promotion will be open? Is there a date you have to pull the link down?

The offer states Requirement: 20,000 points after $3,000 in purchases in first 6 months. An additional 20,000 points after $3,000 in spending within the next 6 months.

If I spent $6,000 in the first 3 months do I qualify for the 40,000 points immediately? Thank you for the clarification.

also, could i just close my card after the 6th month and then not have to pay the annual fee ?

This card doesn’t have an annual fee. Keep it open to age, or combine it with the Citi Forward card to get even more points.

But you didnt answer my question. $6000 in 3 months and can i get 40k points ?
