Chase Flexible Rewards Points
by Tim
How much is a Chase Point worth? NerdWallet estimates about 1 cent. This is far better than Bank of America WorldPoints, where you need to collect 25,000 points or more to reap a 1% rewards rate.
Redemption Options.
- Cash – 2,500 points gets you a $25 check.
- Gift Cards – 1,000 points gets you a $10 Starbucks gift card. 2,500 points gets you a $25 gift card from a wide enough range of common retailers, so we deem it “same as cash”. These include Best Buy, Chili’s, Exxon, Border’s, Lowe’s, and Pizza Hut.
- Travel – 25,000 points will get you a domestic round-trip airfare worth up to $312.50. However, you still have to pay all taxes and fees.
Expiration.
- Points expire in 3 years. This is similar to Citi ThankYou Points, but shorter than 5 years for Bank of America WorldPoints.
