I just canceled my Virgin Airlines Black AMEX after only 6 weeks. I’ve
had an ‘unbranded’ AMEX card for 20+ years and I was tempted to BOA by
the Virgin miles. But this is nutty – like a bunch of business school
grads who couldn’t get jobs anywhere else decided to try issuing a
credit card.
I can’t understand any company that does not send email
alerts but rather waits 10 days before calling (calling!?!?! who uses
the phone anymore?) to mention that a keystroke error caused a payment
to fail. Meanwhile the customer (me) is blissfully unaware that
interest is accumulating…
