This card has a great feature in that if you spend $30K on the card, you receive a free companion voucher. You can collect more than one voucher and they can be used to bring along a companion whether you used cash or mileage to acquire your ticket. A nice benefit!

I applied for the card but found out that after spending the $95 for the annual fee which they will not waive, it would cost me over $600 in fees to fly to Europe.
That’s also after spending the $2500 for the miles to kick in. So it would cost you Over $700 in taxes and fees to fly to Europe. You can get a full fare ticket
for around $1000. So it’s not a super deal. If you pay full fare you don’t have to buy month and months in advance.
