NerdWallet Review: The Lexus Pursuits
No annual fee: The Lexus Pursuits has no annual fee. This means it's ideal for those who don't put much on their cards, and want to keep the card open for a long time. If you keep your credit cards open, you'll boost your average account age and thus your credit score.
Credit Card Showdown: Lexus Pursuits vs. Capital One® Venture℠ Rewards Credit Card
Same late payment fee: The Lexus Pursuits and the Capital One® Venture℠ Rewards Credit Card have the same late fee. Ideally, you shouldn't have late payment fees anyway. In addition to the late fee, you might get stuck with a big penalty APR that lasts six months or more.
Lower rewards rate: The Lexus Pursuits's base rewards rate is lower than its competitor's. If you can't find a card that neatly fits your spending profile (let's say, one that gives rewards on the shopping you do way too much of), a high base rate is key. Base rewards aren't everything, though, since many cards with bonus categories don't give great rates on other purchases.
Smaller signup bonus: The Lexus Pursuits has a smaller signup bonus than its competitor, so you leave some money on the table to begin with. Obviously that isn't the end of the story, though - you also have to consider annual fees, ongoing rewards, and so forth.
