I'm a 25 year old Brooklynite. I am the youngest of five children and grew up somewhat idyllically in a New York City suburb, reading books, horseback riding, and dreaming of big city living. After high school I moved to Manhattan for college, graduating from New York University's Gallatin School of Individualized Study. While I enjoyed having the freedom to construct my own course of study, my degree ensures that I will most likely toil in low-paying creative fields for the rest of my working life. I am currently have a very demanding and very rewarding job in the music industry. When I'm not working or at a concert for fun, I like to ride my bike, hang out in Brooklyn's beautiful parks, eat burritos, explore the city's numerous bars and waste too much time on the Internet. I manage to make ends meet in this very expensive city, but I'd like to one day be financially stable enough to travel - Europe, Australia, South America and the rest of the United States. In order to do so, I'd probably have to spend more time giving thought to my finances but my general financial mindset most closely resembles that of, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it."
