Capital One Venture Offering Sign-up Bonus Worth $1,000 [Limited Time]

For a limited time, the Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card has a new sign-up bonus, and it’s a really good one. From July 16 to Sept. 9, 2024, new Venture cardholders can earn the following welcome offer, which has two parts:

  • A one-time $250 credit that can be used to book travel through the Capital One Travel portal. The credit expires after one year.

  • Earn 75,000 bonus miles worth $750 in travel after spending $4,000 within the first three months of account opening.

If you hit the $4,000 spending requirement for the bonus, the total value of the welcome offer is $1,000 in travel. That’s because one Capital One mile is worth 1 cent when redeemed through the Capital One Travel portal.

It’s possible to get even more value out of those miles by transferring them to one of Capital One’s travel partners, which include multiple airlines and a handful of hotel groups. Miles never expire.

  • Aeromexico (1:1 ratio).

  • Air Canada (1:1 ratio).

  • Air France-KLM (1:1 ratio).

  • Avianca (1:1 ratio).

  • British Airways (1:1 ratio).

  • Cathay Pacific (1:1 ratio).

  • Emirates (1:1 ratio).

  • Etihad (1:1 ratio).

  • EVA (2:1.5 ratio).

  • Finnair (1:1 ratio).

  • Qantas (1:1 ratio).

  • Singapore Airlines (1:1 ratio).

  • TAP Air Portugal (1:1 ratio).

  • Turkish Airlines (1:1 ratio).

Hotels

  • Accor (2:1 ratio).

  • Choice Privileges Hotels (1:1 ratio).

  • Wyndham Rewards (1:1 ratio).

Note that you’re ineligible for this limited-time offer if you received a sign-up bonus for the Venture card in the past 48 months.

The Venture card has a $95 annual fee and comes with the following perks:

  • Earn unlimited 5x miles on hotels and rental cars booked through Capital One Travel.

  • Earn unlimited 2x miles on every purchase.

  • Up to $100 statement credit every four years for Global Entry or TSA PreCheck.

  • No foreign transaction fee.

  • Hertz Five Star status. 

  • Access to the Capital One Entertainment booking platform.
