Which Cash-Back Credit Cards Offer a Good 0% APR?

Many or all of the products featured here are from our partners who compensate us. This influences which products we write about and where and how the product appears on a page. However, this does not influence our evaluations. Our opinions are our own. Here is a list of our partners and here's how we make money.

Cash-back credit cards aren’t necessarily well known for interest-saving features. After all, rewards credit cards generally charge higher interest rates. But most of the best cash-back rewards cards nowadays come with a 0% APR offer — a promotion in which you pay no interest at all on new purchases for a year or more.

Generally speaking, if you're carrying a balance from month to month a rewards credit card, the interest you're paying will more than eat up the value of the rewards you earn. But a card with a 0% APR period changes the calculus. If you've got a big purchase coming up that you'll need time to pay off, put it on one of these cards, and you'll collect cash back on the purchase, enjoy a break from interest — and maybe even earn a sign-up bonus.

you time to pay down debt. And many of them don't even charge an annual fee.

🤓Nerdy Tip

Some cards, including Chase's Freedom-branded cards and the U.S. Bank Altitude® Go Visa Signature® Card, technically earn points rather than cash back. However, if you can redeem those points for 1 cent each, we generally consider them cash-back cards.
