Chase Freedom Flex 5% Bonus Categories for Q2 2023: Amazon, Lowe’s

Eligible Chase cardholders can get rewarded this spring for making home improvements and for shopping at the world’s largest online retailer.
From April 1 to June 30, 2023, Chase Freedom Flex℠ cardholders can earn 5% cash back on up to $1,500 in combined quarterly spending at the following merchants (activation required; 1% back on all other non-bonus-category spending):
Lowe’s (including Lowes.com).
Amazon.com.
While Amazon.com is returning as a quarterly 5% bonus category for the third time in four years for Chase, it's the first time since 2014 that Lowe’s has been specifically featured on the bonus calendar, long before the debut of the Chase Freedom Flex℠. (Historically, Lowe's has been included within a broader “home improvement stores” category.)
Although the original Chase Freedom® card is no longer accepting applications, existing cardholders still earn 5% cash back based on the same bonus calendar and terms for the Chase Freedom Flex℠.
Eligible cardholders can activate bonus categories online or in the Chase app until June 14, 2023, and bonus rewards can be earned retroactively as long as you hit that deadline.
In addition to the rotating quarterly categories, Chase Freedom Flex℠ cardholders can earn an uncapped 5% cash back on travel booked through Chase, 3% back on dining and drugstores and 1% back on everything else. New cardholders also qualify for the following introductory offer: Earn a $200 Bonus after you spend $500 on purchases in your first 3 months from account opening.
