If you’re traveling to Florida or California soon and like amusement parks, you may want to spend time at Universal Studios.

As you begin to outline your trip itinerary, it’s a good idea to research trip expenses and set a vacation budget — theme parks can be expensive these days.

The good news: Getting discounted tickets for Universal Studios Orlando and Universal Studios Hollywood is possible. Here's how.

Cheap one-day tickets for Universal Studios

If you're in town for a short visit, Undercover Tourist sells one-day Universal Studios park tickets at a slight discount.

While the savings are minimal, this could be a good option if you’re traveling as a group and need to buy multiple tickets. Here’s what you can expect to pay:

Universal Studios Orlando

  • One-day, one-park ticket: Adult ticket prices begin at $105, compared to the starting price of $109 when buying directly through Universal Studios.

  • One-day, one-park ticket: Child ticket prices begin at $101, compared to the starting price of $104 when buying directly through Universal Studios.

  • One-day, park-to-park ticket: Adult ticket prices begin at $159, compared to the starting price of $164 when buying directly through Universal Studios.

  • One-day, park-to-park ticket: Child ticket prices begin at $156, compared to the starting price of $159 when buying directly through Universal Studios.

Universal Studios Hollywood

  • A one-day adult ticket begins at $101, compared to the starting price of $109 when buying directly through Universal Studios.

  • A one-day child ticket begins at $95, compared to the starting price of $103 when buying directly through Universal Studios.

Multi-day park admission deals

You can save money on ticket costs by purchasing multi-day admission. If you’re visiting for several days, this is an excellent way to get the best deal on Universal Orlando Resort or Universal Studios Hollywood tickets.

Universal Orlando Resort

If you’re planning to visit more than one park and will be staying for several days, you can save money by taking advantage of Universal Orlando Resort’s two-free-days promotion. If you pay for a three-day visit, you’ll get two more days for free — that’s a five-day visit for a pretty attractive price.

Here’s what you can expect to pay for a park-to-park pass to visit Universal Studios Florida and Universal’s Islands of Adventure (You can visit both parks each day):

  • Two-park, three-day ticket with two free days (five days total): Child tickets begin at $291.

  • Two-park, three-day ticket with two free days (five days total): Adult tickets begin at $301.

If two parks aren't enough for you, you can add on access to Universal’s Volcano Bay for an additional $35 per day. Visit all three parks each day. This would bring your ticket totals to the following prices:

  • Three-park, three-day ticket with two free days (five days total): Child tickets start at $326.

  • Three-park, three-day ticket with two free days (five days total): Adult tickets start at $336.

If you’re only interested in visiting one park per day, your ticket prices will be even lower:

  • Two-park, three-day ticket with two free days (five days total): Child tickets begin at $231.

  • Two-park, three-day ticket with two free days (five days total): Adult tickets begin at $241.

  • Three-park, three-day ticket with two free days (five days total): Child tickets start at $266.

  • Three-park, three-day ticket with two free days (five days total): Adult tickets start at $276.
