Traveling any farther than your local grocery story might seem like a distant memory right now, but Orbitz wants to jog your memory (and help you make some new ones, too). The online travel agency is running a promotion to give away $100 in Orbucks and providing other opportunities to earn rewards, as well.
The promotion
To thank travelers for doing their part to keep their social distance and shelter-in-place, Orbitz is handing out $100 in Orbitz travel credit to the first 1,000 people to fill out their online questionnaire about staying home.
Here’s what you need to do to participate in the promotion:
Join Orbitz Rewards. New and existing loyalty members are welcome to participate.
Visit Orbitz.com/stayhome beginning May 5, 2020.
Fill out the questionnaire about your time staying at home. You’ll be asked how many days you’ve stayed at home and what quarantine activities you’ve participated in, like virtual happy hours, giving a haircut or bingeing TV shows.
Use your Orbucks reward to book a hotel stay on the Orbitz website before November 5, 2020.
Other ways to earn Orbucks without traveling
If you’re not one of the first ones to fill out the survey, you still have some options for earning Orbucks, a high-value and underrated travel rewards currency. One Orbuck equals one U.S. dollar, and you can use it like cash to book stays at more than 385,000+ participating hotels around the world.
To earn rewards for ordering food, consider signing up for the Orbitz Rewards Dining program. Once you link a credit card, you can earn 5% back in Orbucks when you buy food from a participating restaurant.
