One of the most attractive features of Chase Ultimate Rewards® is its 1:1 point transfers to partner programs, letting you convert Chase points to the currency of certain airlines and hotels. Now, for a limited time, Chase is taking that feature to new heights for one of its partners.
Convert Chase Ultimate Rewards® points to British Airways Avios through June 16, 2019, and you’ll get a 30% point bonus. That is, if you transfer 10,000 Chase points, you’ll get 13,000 Avios; 20,000 Chase points get you 26,000 Avios.

Even U.S. travelers can take advantage
If this doesn’t interest you because you don’t travel much to the United Kingdom, you might be overlooking some lucrative opportunities in the fine print of the British Airways frequent flyer program.
British Airways Avios can be used on the airline’s website to book flights with Alaska, American and other partner airlines. As of now, British Airways' award chart is distance-based, which opens up the opportunity for some great deals.
This could change soon. British Airways is rolling out new redemption rates on partner airlines at the end of May. But for now, and hopefully into the future, there’s a “sweet spot” for redeeming Avios on partner airlines.
For example, British Airways doesn’t fly to Hawaii. But Alaska and American both do, and until May 30 you can book nonstop economy flights from the West Coast for 12,500 Avios each way — a terrific deal. That 30% transfer bonus from Chase could make the deal even sweeter.
How to transfer points
If you’re not a member of British Airways’ frequent flyer program, called the Executive Club, first sign up for that. Then, to transfer Chase points to British Airways Avios, log in to your Chase account, navigate to Ultimate Rewards and choose “Transfer to travel partners.” You’ll see a list of airlines, hotels and travel partners, including British Airways. Select the airline and enter your Executive Club membership number (you get one immediately upon joining the program). Then you can convert Chase points to Avios in increments of 1,000. The points should immediately show up in your British Airways account and can be used right away.
Remember that Chase is offering the 30% bonus on points transfers to British Airways only through June 16. So if you have some Chase Ultimate Rewards points and you’re looking for ways to make the most of them, now is the time to explore British Airways reward flights to see if you can find deals for your destination and dates.
And don’t pull the trigger until you’re ready. Once you transfer Chase points to a partner program, you can’t transfer them back.
