TSA PreCheck lines at Newark airport

All three terminals at Newark have TSA PreCheck lanes. However, the schedule of checkpoints varies so check for hours at the official TSA PreCheck website.

Getting to and from Newark airport

AirTrain

AirTrain Newark provides 24/7 service to, from and around Newark airport. It’s free to use the train for travel to airport terminals, parking lots, hotel shuttle pickup points and car rental offices, but a ride to NJ Transit or Amtrak connections costs about $8.

Train

Passengers can use Amtrak and NJ Transit trains to reach the airport via Newark Liberty International Airport Station.

Bus

The Newark Liberty Airport Express costs $22.50 (one way) to $38.50 (round trip) and connects Newark airport with Grand Central Station, Bryant Park and the Port Authority Bus Terminal.

Additionally, NJ Transit bus lines 28, 37, 62, 67 and 107 all go to the airport.

Newark airport parking

Newark airport has short-term and long-term parking solutions for passengers who opt for private transportation. The following rates apply.

Short-term parking costs (Parking A, B and C)

  • 30 minutes: $5.25.

  • Each additional half-hour: $5.25.

  • Each additional half-hour after three hours: $10.50.

  • 24-hour maximum: $65 to $70 ($50 if you pre-book).

Daily parking costs (Garage P4)

  • 30 minutes: $4.25.

  • Each additional half-hour: $4.25.

  • Each additional half-hour after three hours: $8.50.

  • 24-hour maximum: $60 ($40 if you pre-book).

Long-term (economy) parking costs

  • First 24 hours: $35 ($30 if you pre-book).

  • Each additional 12 hours after the first 24 hours: $17.50.

If you’d like to save money on Newark airport long-term parking and short-term parking, you must book a parking spot at least 24 hours in advance.

AirTrain is available from the daily parking lots at Garage P4. Economy lots are connected to the terminals by a free shuttle bus.

Admirals Club, Concourse A

  • Location: Across from gate A8.

  • Hours: 4 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Delta Sky Club

  • Location: Near gate A8.

  • Hours: 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday through Friday and 5 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Saturday.

United Club

  • Location: Near gate A27.

  • Hours: 5 a.m. to 9:15 p.m.

Terminal B

British Airways Galleries Lounge

  • Location: Near gates B50-B58.

  • Hours: 5 a.m. to 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. to 10:45 p.m.

SAS Lounge

  • Location: Near gate B60.

  • Hours: Opens one hour before the first scheduled SAS flight and closes 30 minutes before the last scheduled SAS flight.

USO Lounge

  • Location: Level 2, door 9.

  • Hours: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. (extended hours from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. and from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. if volunteers are available).

Terminal C

United Club

  • Location: Near gate C74.

  • Hours: 5 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.

  • Location: Near gate C123.

Yes, all three terminals at EWR have Clear lanes and Clear Plus enrollment booths. Standard security and TSA PreCheck-eligible travelers can use Clear lanes at Newark Liberty International Airport.

Yes, the Polaris Lounge at Newark airport is in terminal C between gates C102 and C120.

Newark airport doesn’t have a Priority Pass lounge. The only option for Priority Pass Select members is Be Relax Spa, which includes a few massage treatment options in the lounge visit entitlement.
