For once, there’s a travel deal aimed at Generation Z: United Airlines is giving MileagePlus members between the ages of 18 and 22 a 10% discount on airfare booked through the United app.
The offer is valid for travel on any date as long as it's booked by Dec. 31, 2019. Here’s how to take advantage of this deal:
Sign up for United’s MileagePlus loyalty program if you haven’t already. It’s free to join and lets you earn points that you can redeem for award flights.
Download the United app and sign in with your MileagePlus account.
Make sure your birth date has been added to your MileagePlus profile.
Book your flight and receive 10% off if you're between 18 and 22 years old.
The fine print
Your flights must be booked between now and Dec. 31, 2019, though the discount is still valid for flights that depart in 2020.
You can only book a flight for one passenger.
The discount only applies to economy and basic economy fares.
Eligible destinations include travel within the United States, Canada, Mexico and "certain international locations" (United didn't specify which ones).

The bottom line
It’s rare to see any kind of discount for this age group, especially for non-students. Though 10% off isn’t a huge amount, it's better than paying full price. If you’re looking to book flights before the end of the year anyway, this is a deal worth checking out.
