Overall

4.5

Many credit unions offer better interest rates than banks do, but they also may have narrow membership requirements and less polished technology. But Alliant Credit Union combines the best of both worlds with broad membership criteria, great rates and a good tech experience.

Got a high cash credit card. Turned into a disaster. Auto pay never worked. Got no notification. Charged me huge fees and interest. Blamed me for everything despite having the same problem with their system multiple times. Went back to Amex where I never had these problems. Shame on Visa for doing business with this horrendous outfit. Don’t be fooled by the high cash. It cost me hundreds.
