JPMorgan Chase is one of the largest banks in the country, offering more services than many of its competitors. It provides mortgages, auto loans and one of the broadest selections of credit cards in the industry. And its website experience can compete with those at online-only banks that focus solely on checking and savings.

Chase has a good basic checking account, but its savings rates are generally low, and some of its fees are high and hard to avoid.

Checking

4.5

Chase offers several checking options, including its most basic account, Chase Total Checking®, and a couple that bear interest. Each gives users access to mobile banking, including online bill pay, and comes with a debit card that has a security-enhancing EMV chip.

There are a few ways for Chase Total Checking® account holders to avoid a monthly fee: have monthly direct deposits totaling $500 or more, keep a daily beginning balance of at least $1,500 or keep an average beginning day balance of $5,000 or more across certain Chase accounts.

Chase offers a $200 bonus on its Total Checking® account (expires 7/15/19). See our list of best bonuses for details.

Worst Business account EVER
It has been a nightmare from the start. Going into the local branch which is 2 blocks from their office and they were a mess. I had to go into the bracing 5 different times to actually get it opened. Every time I went into the manager said they would call me back when they couldn't answer a question where one of their employees said one thing and another said it was a different way. So I waited for a call and 5 days later no call. This happened more than once also. Now fast forward 2 months later and its time to pay an employee they wouldn't let the payment go through. They waited an hour to call me and said they couldn't approve it. They told me to go into my local branch(wonderful customer service from the Philippines) They are clueless and saving money by outsourcing to an island call center that is not trained at all. So I go to my local branch and talk with them and they have to call in. After the first call, it was supposed to work and didn't. The staff there was friendly and tried their best but had to call 3 times to the fraud department and still couldn't figure it out. I was there for an hour and a half. Even the Chase employee said I don't trust that it's going to go through. And guess what it didn't go through. I HIGHLY recommend you DO NOT GET A CHASE BUSINESS ACCOUNT

Do not waste your time. They have a very limited amount of location and will make you physically go to a brach to reset a “online password”. Absolutely garbage customer service where they dont answer any questions. Waste of my time. I can not wait till my 6 month is iver to close this account
