For his first term, President Obama held the record for having the most female Cabinet members out of any U.S. President in history. However, it seems as though his new Cabinet will be less diverse than his first. Unfortunately, he has not indicated that he will continue to appoint educated, experienced women to his Cabinet.

Historically, the women who have served as Cabinet secretaries have been an impressive (although severely underrepresented) group. NerdWallet takes a closer look at the history of women’s involvement in the Presidential Cabinet.

There’s still time for Obama to appoint women. As this infographic shows, there have been intelligent, hardworking women that have added unique experiences and opinions to the President’s innermost circle.
