You know the Nespresso Pixie can make you a great cup of espresso for a deal. But you probably don’t know these five things about the high-end machine:

1. It’s Recycled

Care a lot about the environment? Note that the Nespresso Pixie is one of only a few espresso makers on the market that use recycled parts. When you buy a Nespresso Pixie in brown or carmine, you are getting a machine that has aluminum panels made of 98% recycled Nespresso capsules.

2. It’s Efficient

With its 25-second heating time, not only can the Nespresso Pixie make you a cup of espresso really fast, but it does it while saving energy. On average the machine uses 40% less power than similar machines. Another power-saving feature: The machine will automatically switch off after nine minutes. So if you forget to turn off your Pixie, you won’t have to worry about it.

3. It’s Colorful

The Nespresso Pixie comes in red, titanium, indigo, brown, lime, aluminum, carmine, titan and steel blue, and also in two finishes.  So you can easily coordinate your machine with your kitchen.

4. Accessorize

You can buy espresso cups in the same color as your machine; two types of capsule dispensers (one to hang on your wall, another for your countertop or table); a carrying bag; and a tray.

5. It’s Ergonomic

Many espresso makers on the market are big and bulky, taking up a lot of counter space. But the designers at Nespresso, which the New York Times reports is a growing company, crafted the Pixie to be ergonomic, so you won’t bend yourself out of shape while brewing up a cup. At 4.3 inches wide, 9.25 inches high and 12.83 inches deep, it’s much smaller than similar models.
