Best A.C. Moore Black Friday Deals from 2013

A.C. Moore is an arts and crafts store with locations across the eastern United States. The retailer sells all the essentials for everything from school projects to home decorating.

Last year, A.C. Moore released a festive 10-page ad to debut its 2013 Black Friday deals. The two-day holiday sale kicked off at 5 a.m. Black Friday. The deals rolled into Saturday as well, with store locations opening at 8 a.m. The store dedicated to helping customers “create more, share more and save more” had loads of holiday discounts.

A.C. Moore’s deals encompassed a variety of products across several departments, including holiday decorations, crafts for kids, picture frames and art supplies. There were markdowns of 50% and items for $1 each, such as holiday tins, decorative bows and cookie cutters. Here’s a roundup of some of last year’s deals that were worthy of getting up early and standing in line:

  • 50% off entire Crayola selection
  • Stretch loop band packs 4 for $5 (regularly $1.99 each)
  • Large quilted duffel or tote bag for $9.94 (regularly $24.99)
  • 14-inch nutcrackers for $5 (regularly $14.99)
  • 50% off various holiday decorations
  • 50% off entire selection of tabletop frames
  • 50% off entire selection of artist pads
  • 40% off entire selection of packaged scrapbook paper
  • Wilton Ultimate Professional Cake Decorating Kit for $99.99 (regularly $199.99)

There were coupons, too. Between noon and 10 p.m. on Black Friday, shoppers armed with a coupon could get 60% off any one regular item. Another coupon – this one for 40% off a total regular-price purchase – was valid only from 5 a.m. to noon Friday. Savings opportunities spread to Saturday as well, with coupons for 55% off any one regular-price item, valid between noon and closing time, and for 30% off a total regular-price purchase from 8 a.m. to noon. Additionally, shoppers could take advantage of 65% off any full custom framing order placed Friday or Saturday. Finally, those who joined the free A.C. Moore rewards program would get $10 after spending $200.

While the store’s selection lacked any of the season’s major must-haves or big-ticket items, A.C. Moore had plenty of valuable deals for arts and crafts enthusiasts. It was important for bargain hunters to notice that some deals were listed as “your choice.” On these promotions, shoppers could select which of two items they wanted to purchase at the sale price.
