At NerdWallet, we strive to help you make financial decisions with confidence. To do this, many or all of the products featured here are from our partners. However, this doesn’t influence our evaluations. Our opinions are our own.

Don’t miss out on all of NerdWallet’s highly anticipated 2016 Black Friday ad leaks this season. Check back regularly for updates on the best holiday deals from your favorite retailers. Black Friday is Nov. 25.

Whether you’re thinking of gifting with fragrance, skin care items or bath and body products, or just upping your own dazzle game for the holidays, Black Friday is a great day — and, depending on the store, weekend — for beauty deals.

While individual standard items, like an eye shadow or a moisturizer, don’t usually get much of a discount, palettes and sets can often be found at great savings. Incentives — like travel-sized versions of your favorite products or little gifts such as makeup bags — are also more apt to come with purchase during this most wonderful time of the year.

If you have a long gift list this year, make sure to mind your credit card balance. In the 2015 holiday season, 44% of Americans incurred debt and took about two months to pay it off. If you’re part of this crowd, make sure to avoid paying interest with the right credit card. NerdWallet’s list of best credit cards for holiday shopping includes cards with 0% interest periods that may last from 9 to 21 months. There are plenty of reasons to stress over the holidays; don’t let credit card interest be one of them.

In the meantime, take a look at what happened in 2015 for an idea of what you can expect this year.

Not only does Sephora carry a vast array of beauty products, from hair care to makeup, to more colors of nail polish than you could imagine, it also has expansive skin care and fragrance selections for both women and men. Last year’s Black Friday sale included deals on makeup, skin care, hair care and nail polish sets from brands such as Origins, Smashbox and BareMinerals, along with Sephora’s own store brand.

If last year was any indication, once this year’s 2016 Black Friday Ulta ad leaks, we’ll most likely see an online sale that starts at 5 p.m. Central time Thanksgiving Day, followed by stores throwing their doors open at 6 local that evening. Some of last year’s biggest price cuts were on hair care tools, with prices slashed on Ultra Chi blow dryers and glitter irons; BareMinerals eyes, face, and lips and cheeks sets, marked down to $10; and cosmetics from Stila, Urban Decay and Tarte on sale at more than 50% off.

The department store made synonymous with Christmas by the 1947 movie “Miracle on 34th Street,” Macy’s is known for offering incredible doorbusters as soon as it opens Thanksgiving evening. The Macy’s 2015 Black Friday sale slashed prices on fragrance gift sets from big names like Rihanna, Versace and Elizabeth Arden, and marked down the wildly popular Clarisonic cleansing tools (a pair, marked down from $298 to $199), skin care products from brands including Clinique and Clarins, and big names in makeup, including Urban Decay’s Naked Palette.

This discount department store might not be the first place you think of for beauty, but whether you were looking for hair dryers or irons, rechargeable toothbrushes or an electric razor for the man in your life, the Kohl’s 2015 Black Friday sale had personal care electronics at deep discounts. Also making it worthwhile to brave the crowds were Bliss beauty spa products and fragrances from names like Vera Wang, Escada and Lacoste.

Target has gained a reputation as an excellent source for beauty and skin care products — including a large number of all-natural brands. The chain’s 2015 Black Friday sale started 10 days before Thanksgiving and offered Friday shoppers who spent more than $75 20% off a future shopping trip, free shipping and discounts on personal care electronics like Sonicare toothbrushes, hair dryers and irons, along with e.l.f. makeup and nail polish sets and a selection of designer fragrances at buy one, get one 50% off.

Perhaps because Amazon has an incredible amount of inventory, 2015’s Black Friday sale started Nov. 20, when the retailer began offering new deals every five minutes. The ad mentioned savings of up to $60 on men’s grooming products and up to 25% off skin care goods, but we don’t know what it will come up this year. So whether you’re looking for that new Dyson hair dryer, fragrance, skin care or makeup, you’ll want to check back here for particulars early and often. And, of course, Amazon Prime customers get free shipping on applicable purchases.
