Don’t miss out on all of NerdWallet’s highly anticipated 2016 Black Friday ad leaks this season. Visit regularly for tips and announcements about the best holiday deals from your favorite retailers. Black Friday is Nov. 25.

Televisions are one of the most sought-after Black Friday bargains, but when you’re considering such a large purchase, it’s important to do your research, especially when so many retailers are hawking deals that seem too good to be true.

First, determine what size screen you need and the features you prefer (and what you can live without), and then dig and dig, down to the SKU number if possible. This way, you’ll be certain that you don’t end up with a derivative product — an item that’s been cheaply produced just for the holiday season — and that you’re getting the best price possible.

Next, read the fine print in the ad. Some doorbusters are available only in such small quantities that it may be nearly impossible to snag one. These huge bargains are also usually sold within certain time periods, so make sure you don’t show up at noon for a deal that started at 5 a.m., or you may leave empty-handed.

Among popular Black Friday retailers, membership warehouse store Costco might be best-known as the spot to buy bulk groceries. But the chain also has an expansive electronics department with competitive pricing.

Take a look below for the best Costco TV deals during the holiday sale.

Costco just released this year’s Black Friday ad, and it included plenty of televisions. The membership discount store is kicking off Black Friday early — on Nov. 18 —and extending it through the Monday after Thanksgiving, Nov. 28. Because there’s expected to be such a rush on these televisions, Costco has instituted a three-unit limit.
