Best Anna’s Linens Black Friday Deals from 2012

Last year Anna’s Linens opened its doors at 10pm Thanksgiving evening for the Black Friday specials, most likely to compete with big superstores like Target in the pursuit of an early start to the sales. In the fine print, though, the store’s ad qualifies that customers needed to call for local store hours, as such cities as Baltimore, Philadelphia, New Jersey, and Washington DC opened 5am Friday morning instead.

Anna’s Linens released a 3-page ad for 2012 which highlighted what it sells best: sheets, pillows, towels, and other household linens at cheap prices. The general sale started its first wave of specials from 10pm Thanksgiving until 7am Black Friday morning. One of the biggest things that popped out was the $9.99 deal on any size comforter or embroidered soft touch sheet sets (also any size). A buyer was able to get a limit of two each.

If one was looking for pillows and towels, 2-for-$5 on Queen pillows and $2.99 on 100% Cotton “Hampshire” Bath Towels were hard to beat. Hand towels were $1.99 and washcloths $1.49. The original prices were not mentioned in the ad, but even still, getting two pillows, a bath towel, and a hand towel for $10 altogether wasn’t a bad deal.

In the second wave of specials, Friday 7am until noon, the deals on sheets were not quite as outrageous but still discounted: $19.99 for down alternative comforter and $14.99 for 6-piece sheets (any size in both deals). Holiday gifts made an appearance, with $2.99 for a 12.5” glass platter with holiday designs and $2.99 indoor/outdoor rugs.

For those needing sheets and comforters, Thursday and Friday were the better bet for deals on those. By the weekend specials, the third page of the ad, the sheets alone (outside of complete bedding sets) no longer had advertised discounts, and the comforters went up in price. Although the twin sizes for comforters remained the same price as the second-wave deals, $19.99, the full and queen size prices were $24.99 and king $29.99. The linen specials definitely diminished by the weekend, and in place were kitchenware products like knives and holiday pillows.

Anna’s Linens didn’t stop its deals by the weekend, though. There was one great hurrah, the $4.99 deals, which included all of these products:

  • Christmas Damask Tablecloths
  • Microplush Throws
  • Jacquard Dining Room Chair Covers
  • Holiday Print Kitchen Slice Rugs
  • “Trieste” Chenille Pillows or Chairpads.

For linens, now you know where to go for the deals on Black Friday.
