Best CompUSA Black Friday Deals from 2012

A good note about the CompUSA Black Friday ad from last year is that it’s actually the same as Tiger Direct’s. In fact, both are owned by the same company, Systemex, so it only makes sense. The sale did start at 5am, lasting all day, with discounts on electronics such as HDTVs, laptops, smartphones, televisions, cameras, printers, and more. It is an online electronics retailer generally, so these particular Black Friday specials were specified to be available in brick and mortar stores only.

Of the easiest HDTVs available for your wallet, the Westinghouse 32” LED HDTV for $179.99 and the Upstar 24” LED HDTV at $99.99 stood out. In the category of laptops, there were two noteworthy deals. One was the ASUS 15.6” Notebook PC with a free upgrade of Windows 8 at $399.99 (off $100, 20% discounted) and the other was the HP 15.6” Notebook PC for $599.9 (off $280, 32% discounted).

From the printer selection, there were two that good savings: $59.99 Brother Mono Laser Printer and the $39.99 Brother Wireless All-in-One Inkjet Printer—both with $50 in savings, 45% off and 55% off respectively.

One other interesting thing about the sale last year was a “Beat the Clock! Hourly Special” selection. It worked like this: for every hour from 10am until 5pm Friday, there was one drastic mark-down. In that time span, the three best deals all had 75% off: the 11am ($9.99 Centon 32GB Flash Drive), 1pm ($48 Windows 8 Pro Upgrade Version), and 5pm ($4.99 Wireless Keyboard + Mouse).
