Keep checking back here for this year’s sale news! A couple of sock monkeys were a stuffed-toy steal last year; read up on highlights of last year’s Build-a-Bear Black Friday sale below.

Best Build-a-Bear Black Friday Deals From 2013

With hundreds of locations around the world, the popular retailer Build-a-Bear Workshop offers an interactive process, allowing you to customize and assemble your own teddy bear or other stuffed animal. Beyond its beloved bears, the store also offers stuffed ponies, tigers, foxes, zebras and more. Owners of a new toy can also shop for clothing and accessories to expand the possibilities for play.

Every year for the past several years, Build-a-Bear has featured a Black Friday sale highlighting a special stuffed animal for a temporary low price. During last year’s sale, limited-edition sock monkeys Nick and Joy sold together in a set for $15 (compared to the regular price of $10 each). Special sock monkey outfits were sold separately. The pair made a great deal for a store where the lowest price for individual stuffed animals is $10, including marked-down items.

The sale was offered only until noon Black Friday, and opening hours varied by location.

For more deals on toys, make sure to check out Toys R Us and Little Tikes. Other stores known for great deals on toys include Blain’s Farm and Fleet and BJ’s Wholesale Club. For a full list of 2014 Black Friday ad scans, check out NerdWallet’s Black Friday ad leaks page.
