Founded in North Carolina in 1946, Lowe’s has grown to be one of the country’s largest home improvement chain stores. With locations across North America, Lowe’s carries over 40,000 products in stock. This year, the retailer will be closed on Thanksgiving but will open at 5 a.m. on Black Friday with deals that will last through Dec. 2. Shoppers who can’t wait for the stores to open can buy items online at Lowes.com on Thanksgiving and pick up their purchases at their local Lowe’s the following day. Savings range from custom-order blinds and tools to garage-storage supplies and holiday decorations.

Here are some of the highlights from the Lowe’s Black Friday ad:

  • $700 off a Samsung 4.2-cubic-foot washer and 7.5-cubic-foot dryer (now $649 each)
  • $99 for either a 15-amp corded circular saw, 12-amp cordless drill driver or 12-amp corded reciprocating saw by Bosch
  • Free Bosch tool ($119 value) with the purchase of an 18-volt lithium ion cordless combo kit with soft case for $299
  • $99 for a 20-volt DeWalt half-inch lithium ion cordless drill with soft case
  • 25% off in-stock Kobalt tool chests, workbenches and truck boxes
  • 99 cents each for Utilitech 60-watt LED lightbulbs
  • $9.98 for a Skil 21-piece gold oxide twist drill bit set (regularly $19.99)

For those looking to do their shopping online, Lowe’s is offering free shipping on Cyber Monday and Lowe’s Consumer credit card holders receive 5% back on their purchases, the same amount given throughout the year.

Year after year, Black Friday proves to be one of the best times of year to purchase major appliances. Home improvement retailer Lowe’s reinforced this trend in 2014 with big deals on everything from refrigerators to vacuums.

Lowe’s stores opened at 5 a.m. on Black Friday, but shoppers could get a jump-start on their shopping by heading to the store’s website on Thanksgiving Day. The retailer gave free shipping on qualifying online orders of $19 or more.

So what deals were Lowe’s shoppers scooping up last year? Here’s a look at some of the most memorable specials from Black Friday 2014:

  • LG 24.7-cubic-foot French Door refrigerator for $1,548 (regularly $2,348)
  • Up to $150 off select Dyson vacuums
  • $50 off KitchenAid K45SSWH stand mixer (via mail-in rebate)
  • 50% off select Kobalt tool sets
  • 30% off all Christmas tree ornaments
  • 25% off artificial indoor Christmas trees (some exclusions applied)
