RadioShack is known for selling smaller electronics, from Bluetooth speakers to drones to citizens band radios to any kind of connector cable you might need. The company’s slogan is, “Your neighborhood electronics store.” But after it filed for bankruptcy protection, was sold and closed over 1,700 stores last year, it may be harder to find one in your neighborhood.
However, the troubled retailer has an online outlet, so if you can’t find a brick-and-mortar store, you may be able to order what you want.
To help navigate the retailer’s inventory, we’ve put together a guide to help ensure that you always get the best deals when you shop at RadioShack.
RadioShack specializes in smaller electronic items, such as mobile phones and accessories, cables and gadgets. Its main competitors are Best Buy, Fry’s Electronics and Amazon.
RadioShack offers deals throughout the year, with weekly sales circulars advertising savings and highlighting new merchandise. Its big sales events are:
- Major holidays. Like most retailers, RadioShack offers big savings on holidays such as Labor Day, Memorial Day and the Fourth of July. Check the RadioShack website for information.
- Black Friday. Last year’s RadioShack Black Friday sale began the day before Thanksgiving, and the stores even opened for a few hours Thursday morning before closing at 1 p.m. The deals continued through Saturday and included price cuts on Amazon Fire tablets, Apple TVs, radio scanners and assorted other gadgets and tech toys.
