Most of Stein Mart’s best deals are for apparel and home goods, but a few doorbuster deals included select small appliances and electronics.

Here are some of Stein Mart’s best doorbuster promos:

  • 50% off ladies outerwear, with prices starting at $29.98 (regularly $59.99).
  • Joseph A turtlenecks for $14.98 (regularly $19.98).
  • Great American leather handbags for $24.98 (regularly $49.98).
  • 50% off oversized Berber throws.
  • 50% off all holiday decor.
  • Men’s Champion fleece hoodies, crew neck pullovers and pants starting at $12.98 (regularly $19.99).
  • Women’s cashmere scarves for $19.98 (regularly $39.99).

Stein Mart’s Friday-only sale features similar discounts on women’s petites and plus sizes (50% off); men’s sweaters, outerwear, outdoor collection and select shirt styles (30% off); and home items, including bedding, furniture and cookware (50% off).

Be mindful — your generous gift list might result in a bit of credit card balance. In the 2015 holiday season, 44% of American shoppers incurred debt and took about two months to pay it off. If you’re part of this crowd, make sure to avoid paying interest with the right credit card. NerdWallet’s list of best credit cards for holiday shopping includes cards with 0% interest periods that may last from 9 to 21 months. There are plenty of reasons to stress over the holidays; don’t let credit card interest be one of them.

In 2015, Stein Mart’s doorbuster sales covered four pages of the store’s six-page packet.

Deals were up for grabs starting on Thanksgiving, when Stein Mart stores were open from 5 to 10 p.m. and online savings were available all day.

Highlights of the Black Friday deals:

  • Five-piece luggage set for $49.98.
  • Peck & Peck cashmere sweaters for $39.98; cashmere sweaters for $19.98.

This year, it may pay to bring Stein Mart’s ad into the store with you: Last year’s ad cover featured a Scratch and Save promo (to be scratched off by a sales associate in the store to reveal the deal), which could save shoppers $10, $20, $50 or $100 off of their purchases. The deal was redeemable only in store during Stein Mart’s Thursday hours and from 7 a.m. to noon Friday. Another promo code offered online deals.
