Best Tanger Outlet Black Friday Deals From 2013
With more than 400 brand-name factory outlet stores, Tanger Outlets offers apparel and accessories for men, women and children. Other stores within the outlets sell jewelry, footwear and food. The outlet mall company operates a total of 43 shopping outlet mall locations in 26 states across the country. Its store directory includes the Coach Factory, Adidas, Disney Store and Bath & Body Works, among countless others.
In 2013, Tanger Outlets debuted a simple Black Friday ad to advertise its two holiday sales: the Moonlight Madness Sale and the After Thanksgiving Sale. Each was advertised with a single colorful page. Though the sales didn’t carry the typical Black Friday title, they certainly displayed all the signs of impressive Black Friday savings. Plus, since the sales were generic percentage-off discounts, the ad wasn’t cluttered by hard-to-read prices on specific items. Additionally, like many other retailers in 2013, Tanger Outlets chose to join the Thanksgiving bandwagon and opened stores at 10 p.m. the Thursday before Black Friday. This provided shoppers with extra time to score discounts.
Tanger Outlets advertised the seasonal savings event as the company’s biggest sale of the year. The sale comprised Deals at Dark and Deals at Dawn. This included 20% off from 10 p.m. Thursday until 3 a.m. Friday, followed by discounts of 30% off from 3 to 6 a.m. on Black Friday.
Another bonus for shoppers was a free $10 gift card with purchase of a $50 Tanger Gift Card. Also, by joining the Tanger text deals, savvy shoppers could enter to win one of four $1,000 shopping sprees.
It’s important to note that unlike many competitors, Tanger Outlets required shoppers to take an additional step before they could claim their big Black Friday deals: To cash in on the savings, potential shoppers needed to download savings cards from the official Tanger Outlets website. Also, the hours of each Tanger Outlets location differed slightly, so shoppers needed to be aware of the specific details for their local center. It was important to ensure that specific stores were participating in the deals, too.
Despite these drawbacks, the Tanger Outlets Moonlight Madness Sale and After Thanksgiving Sale made Black Friday shopping simple for bargain hunters in search of a one-stop savings center. Tanger’s vast store directory made it easy to find something for everyone on a shopper’s Christmas list.
