True Value Black Friday 2015
True Value hardware stores released a heavy-duty eight-page Black Friday ad. The bargains fire up on Wednesday, Nov. 25, the day before Thanksgiving. We picked out some of the sale’s best deals.
Anyone who loses or lends a lot of tools will be thrilled with a $9.99 Master Mechanic deal on a 100-piece drill bit set, a 3-piece adjustable wrench set or a 3-piece locking pliers set. Those are available while supplies last, and supplies probably won’t last long — each of those sets typically retails for $24.99.
True Value also has great deals on products other than hardware. A pair of Master Mechanic 200-amp jumper cables is a steal at $5.99. The Peak 750-amp jump starter with LED display is half off its manufacturer’s suggested retail price at only $19.99. And your favorite handy person will be thrilled to receive the popular DeWalt 18-volt rechargeable drill, Black Friday priced at just $89.99 (normally $120). True Value also is offering varying discounts on an impressive array of holiday lights and decorations.
The Black Friday deals begin Wednesday, and True Value stores are closed on Thanksgiving Day. True Value stores are all independently owned and operated, so check the store nearest you for its Black Friday hours.

True Value Black Friday Deals from 2014
True Value stores kicked off Black Friday sales on Wednesday last year, as well, though the eight-page ad was far more focused on Christmas trees, holiday decorations and toys. The ad trumpeted savings of 50%, but the 50% off deals only applied to a handful of items like bird feeders, cookie sheets and sauce pans. There were some nice 30%, 35% and 40% off deals on items that were more likely to be on wish lists, like artificial Christmas trees, automobile floor jacks and HDMI cables. Generally speaking, the 2014 True Value ad seemed to focus more on “overstock”-style items and holiday decorations. The new ad for 2015 offers far more more deals on solid, nuts-and-bolts hardware with everyday uses.
The Peak 750-amp jump starter and DeWalt 18-volt rechargeable drill were also on special at True Value on Black Friday 2014 — priced $10 higher than they are in 2015! Anyone who has used either of these items can tell you they are not “overstocks” or irregulars, as both are outstanding tool investments that will last a decade or more.
