Shopping, Shopping News

Move over Black Friday. Right now, it’s all about Pink Friday.

Victoria’s Secret, via its Pink brand, is bringing back its annual Pink Friday event packed full of deals. And if the traditional Black Friday is for holiday gift shopping, Pink Friday is for back-to-college buying.

Here’s what you need to know to prep for Aug. 5.

What to expect

Pink is known for its selection of apparel, intimates, dorm room accessories and collegiate clothing. Pink Friday is one of a handful of major sales that Victoria’s Secret and its brands throw each year. The Semi-Annual Sale comes around in January and in June. The Black Friday event happens in November. And Pink Friday is unleashed in August.

During 2015’s Pink Friday, online shoppers could use a coupon code to get free shipping with any eligible $50 Pink purchase. They could also snag a free duffel and water bottle with a qualifying Pink purchase of $65 or more. And there was an exclusive product offer — the $30 Pink Ultimate yoga legging — for shoppers who joined or signed in to their free Pink Nation accounts.
