Wal-Mart to Offer Christmas Eve In-Store Pickup for Online Purchases

Wal-Mart has announced that shoppers can buy qualifying items online as late as Dec. 23 and pick up those purchases in store on Dec. 24.

The retailer will offer in-store Christmas Eve pickup for eligible orders placed online by 6 p.m. local time on Dec. 23. The service will be available in more than 3,900 stores across the country, according to Wal-Mart.

To avoid stepping foot in a store during the holiday rush, note that Walmart.com’s order cutoffs to receive shipped gifts by Christmas Eve are as follows:

  • Rush delivery: Dec. 22 at noon local time.
  • Standard shipping: Dec. 20.
  • Free two-day shipping: Available on more than 1,500 toys from Dec. 14 to 21.

Wal-Mart stores close at 6 p.m. local time on Christmas Eve, so plan your shopping trips accordingly.
