New Year’s Eve is right around the corner, and that means it’s time to consider where you’re going to ring in 2019.

If you’re happy watching the ball drop on the couch or at a friend’s place, that’s great. But if you’re thinking of being a bit more adventurous this New Year’s Eve, consider one of these six destinations.

As the saying goes, “everything is bigger in Texas.” Dallas is the most-searched U.S. city for New Year’s Eve flights on the flight-tracking site Skyscanner.

Flights from New York to Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport average out to about $145 per Skyscanner, and there’s plenty to do in the city. You can start your New Year’s Eve day with goat yoga (why not?) and end it with drinks at the Beats and Bubbly NYE party held at the Perot Museum of Nature and Science.

Boston is a fun New Year’s Eve destination for families. The First Night celebration — which originated in Boston but is now held in various cities around the nation — features all sorts of family-friendly adventures. There are ice sculpture gardens, puppet shows and more, and it’s all included in your First Night fee. According to Expedia, flights from New York to Boston, from Dec. 28, 2018 to Jan. 1, 2019, range from $320 to $1,000.

Aspen, Colorado

Aspen offers more than just skiing and snowboarding. Get a temporary membership to the iconic Caribou Club and ring in the New Year while enjoying the fantastic atmosphere. In the mood for a nice dinner first? Try getting a reservation at the Grey Lady. The restaurant has two seatings on New Year’s Eve, one between 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., and another between 7:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. After dinner, enjoy Champagne and music from 10 p.m. – 2 a.m.

When searching for flights to Aspen, you might want to pick an off day. Skyscanner’s tracking found flights average $290 on Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2018 then jump to $1,018 on Friday, Dec. 28, 2018.

Panama City Beach, Florida

If your family wants to celebrate the New Year while wearing shorts, check out Panama City Beach, Florida. The New Year is rung in early for kids, with an 800-pound beach ball dropping at 8:00 p.m. There’s also kid-centric activities throughout the day, including street performers and bounce houses. And don’t worry, that giant beach ball drops again at midnight.

Flights from New York to Panama City Beach range from $250 to $500, according to Google Flights.

New Orleans

Start the partying on Bourbon Street (naturally) and end the night at Jackson Square. The ball drops from Jackson Brewery. Once 2019 begins, enjoy spectacular fireworks sent off above the Mississippi River. If you’re more in the mood for live music, check out Tipitina’s and the House of Blues for fantastic shows.

Flights from New York to New Orleans can be a bit expensive, ranging from roughly $500 to $700.

San Francisco

San Francisco is a great New Year’s Eve destination that offers all the best of city life. There’s fireworks on the bay and even fireworks cruises. Those looking for something fancy might want to try the San Francisco Symphony’s Black and White Ball. If you’re on the hunt for a casual party, climb to the top of Twin Peaks — one of the highest points in the city — and watch the fireworks from there.

A roundtrip flight New York to San Francisco ranges from $230 to $445.
