Travel Hack of the Week: Drive Your Way to a Free Flight

This free rewards program allows you to earn up to three United MileagePlus miles per gallon of fuel purchased at participating BP stations. (Find a BP station near you.)

What you need to do

  1. If you already have a United MileagePlus account: Visit United’s site, click “Enroll Now,” and follow the steps as outlined. You can earn 200 miles by linking a credit or debit card.
    If you don’t have a United MileagePlus account: Join the BP Driver Rewards program via BP’s site. As you sign up, there will be a prompt to select rewards type. Select “Earn and Use Miles.” There will be an option to “Enroll Now” into the United MileagePlus Program. Doing this will allow you to sign up for both accounts.
  2. Fill up and earn: Simply enter your rewards Alt ID (your phone number) at the pump to earn United MileagePlus Miles.
