You get a little bit of everything with the
U.S. Bank Business Triple Cash Rewards World Elite Mastercard®
.
This cash back business card comes with a solid welcome offer, a long intro APR period (that includes balance transfers) and a high rewards rate on business-friendly bonus categories. It also has a few extra touches, like a $100 statement credit for recurring software subscriptions and up to 5% back on certain travel expenses when booked through U.S. Bank’s travel portal.
If your business’s spending aligns with its bonus categories — gas, office supplies, cell phone service and restaurants — the Triple Cash is a home run, especially as there is no annual fee. If those categories aren’t a fit, or a travel card is what you’re after, you’ll find a better option elsewhere.

Why you might want the U.S. Bank Business Triple Cash Rewards card

Long intro APR period
Perhaps the biggest selling point of the U.S. Bank Business Triple Cash Rewards card is the extra-long 0% APR period, which applies to balance transfers as well as new purchases — a rarity for business credit cards.
New cardholders pay no interest on purchases or balance transfers for the first
15
billing cycles. After that, there’s an ongoing variable rate of
19.24%-28.24%
. The only balance transfer business card that we know of with a longer offer? U.S. Bank’s Business Platinum Card, which offers an 18-month intro APR window. But there’s no bonus offer or ongoing rewards to speak of, limiting the Platinum card’s usefulness.
Note: Balance transfers must occur within the first 30 days of account opening and there is a balance transfer fee of 3% or $5, whichever is greater.
Business-friendly bonus categories
The Triple Cash Rewards card casts a wide net with its bonus categories, which include gas stations, restaurants, office supply stores, cell phone providers and electric vehicle charging stations. Purchases in these categories earn 3% cash back. You’ll also earn 5% cash back on prepaid hotels and car rentals booked directly in the Rewards Center (a feature that’s become more common on non-travel cards). All other purchases earn 1% back.
If you’re keen on maximizing bonus categories, you can earn a higher rate on office supplies and telecom expenses with the Chase
Ink Business Cash® Credit Card
, which earns 5% in those categories but only 2% on gas and restaurants.
Sizable sign-up bonus
This card’s welcome bonus isn’t the biggest out there (look to the Chase Ink Business Cards for that), but it’s nothing to sneeze at either:
Earn $500 in cash back. Just spend $4500 on the Account Owner's card in the first 150 days of opening your account.

Why you might want a different card

Spending doesn’t align with bonus categories
The Business Triple Cash Rewards card’s base rewards rate (1%) is pretty lackluster. If your spending is all over the place, or simply not in the bonus categories, you may find better value with a flat-rate card.
The American Express Blue Business Cash™ Card
earns 2% back on up to $50,000 in purchases per calendar year (then 1% after that). This card has no annual fee and offers a 12-month intro APR, though it only applies to purchases, not balance transfers. Terms Apply. But the Blue Business Cash card lacks extra perks, like the $100 statement credit for software subscriptions, and has a meager welcome bonus compared with the Business Triple Cash Rewards card.
Travel perks are a priority
Casual business travelers will appreciate earning 5% back on hotels and rental cars, even if they have to book through U.S. Bank’s travel portal. But serious road warriors will want a proper business travel card with all the perks — checked bags, airline credits, TSA pre-check, lounge access and the like.
The Business Platinum Card® from American Express
offers all that and more (albeit for a hefty annual fee). Terms Apply.

🤓 Nerdy Tip

The annual fee on your business credit card is tax deductible, provided you use the card exclusively for business purposes.

Should you get the U.S. Bank Business Triple Cash Rewards credit card?

If your business spending aligns with the bonus categories, the U.S. Bank Business Triple Cash Rewards card is almost a no-brainer. You’ll get a welcome bonus, up to 3% cash back (5% on certain travel) and one of the longest intro APR periods on the market — a true perk with credit card interest rates at a record high as of this writing. And with no annual fee, there’s little downside to carrying this card.
