In the cashback section of the app it lists Basking Robbins as a participant. Ive stopped specially for this twice but the transaction shows up as Dunkin Donuts. Anyway that can be fixed or changed as not so misleading?
Hi @klinsey91! Good question; I’ve reached out to our cash back partner to see if they can give us some additional information. I will say that in my area, Baskin Robbins and Dunkin Donuts are owned by the same company and some of them operate jointly. My favorite DD is also a Baskin Robbins (I can get my coffee and my husband’s ice cream birthday cake in one stop!), so it could be that your Baskin Robbins is also a joint Dunkin and they just prioritize the one. Does your purchase receipt indicate one or the other?
Feel free to send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org with the email address you used on your NerdWallet account, so I can take a closer look at your cashback account. I will also update you with what I learn from the cashback folks.
@klinsey91 I wanted to follow up! I heard back from our cashback partner who noted that this is a pretty common experience with Dunkin Donuts and Baskin Robbins. The processor labels the transactions, and then they filter through our system accordingly, so it has to do with how the individual store’s card processing works.
