Worst customer service ever

If your intention is to use this card for any serious, time limited transaction, stay away, this card is not for you. I applied for and obtained this card about a month ago. However, upon my attempt to use it, it was placed on a fraud alert and I was told my identity needed to be verified. I have faxed every document requested but every time i call to ascertain what is being done i get conflicting responses from agents who appear not to know what they are doing. This last time around, they asked for my social security card to be faxed which i did. One week later, i call as i never heard back from them. Their response? the faxed copy was not clear so they needed another one. They were unable to give any plausible explanation for why I was not notified about this. Clearly, this is a business that does not value thier customers nor have any regard for their time.

The One Card if you want to finally get out of DEBT

I have no love of credit cards and their high interest rates. Credit card companies would like nothing better than for you to be in debt for a long time and pay a lot of finance charges. This card actually gives you 21 months to pay off your balance at 0% interest. Transfer your balance, divide by 21–that is your monthly payment. Stick to it religiously and you will be out of debt. I’m almost there and you can be too. Fight the power! Good Luck.

Good perk on interest but don’t expect any support with disputed charges!

Terrible customer service! Don’t waste your time disputing any charges. Hours on the phone, bounced from department to department and at the end “Sorry there is nothing we can do”!

Do yourself a favor and apply for AMEX instead.

Bad card!!!

Worst card I’ve ever had and I have about 10 credit cards total.

They always charge fees and the apr is ridiculously high!! Don’t get this card!!!

#25

decent card

i used this to purchase a large expensive item and it gave me 21 months no interest to pay it back, to top it off there is no late fees so i kept it as a emergency card after i paid off the balance.

#26

ok card

The interest rate I received after the promotional period was 16.9% rate, I have an 810 credit score rating and an 830 FICO score. I thought because of the excellent rating I would have received an interest rate of at least 12%.
When I called before the end of the promotional period ended I was told that I had to wait until the promotional period ended. when I called after and tried to lower the rate I was told that they couldn't lower my rate because they have a no penalty for late payment fee.

Low Credit Limit

Needed about 10k, got $3,300.

21 mos no interest on balance transfers!

Balance transfer takes forever to post

Applied for the card in order to pay less interest in order to pay off another card. I submitted the balance transfer request. It has been 10 days and it still hasn’t posted. I hope it will go through soon so that I can get out of debt! A little frustrated…

These guys are as crooked as they come. Read on!

I had a debt with Citibank for a computer I had purchased on a no i terest for 6 months plan. I paid it off before the end date of the program, as to avoid interest charges. 6 months later I get a call from Citibank’s collection department, saying I still owed 2 cents on my bill in January, and with fees and late charges I owed them $367.00!! Seriously!! I asked why I hadn’the been notified or received a statement earlier, like in February, informing me of this. They said they did mail my statement, but it was returned. Funny, I received every other statement they sent prior to January. .Clearly lieing. But then the caller informs me that she would give me a break and wouldn’t report me to the credit bureau, which would ruin my credit, as long as I paid half the amount immediately. Stupidly, I paid it, as I didn’the want my credit rating to go down. What a scam!! Never again will I use Citibank, and you shouldn’t either. They are crooks. I don’the know how these Citibank credit callers sleep at night.

Regret getting this card

Auto-generated limits are incredibly low and they will not work with you to raise it. I have excellent credit and have never had a problem getting a decent limit until this card. 21 months interest free is basically pointless with a $1000 limit. If you are looking for a card to transfer a balance to, keep shopping. This is not your card.

#32

Worthless credit limit, don’t bother

I have 3 other major credit cards and excellent credit. I was trying to combine balances and get 0% for 21 months. Well after a grueling application process with someone I could barely understand, she gave me a $2000 limit. Seriously, who would apply for a card just to transfer $2000. I wish I had read more reviews, from what I learned, the limits are auto generated and almost always low. At that point it was too late it was open, I am hoping that when I call to increase the limit they will be able to help me out.

Biggest Crooks EVER!!!

I’m going to Small claims court to fight my case for Citi bank charging me fee by changing my account type and min balance requirement from 1500 to 5000, without ever notifying me!!! I had moved to a different city and had mail transfer set up for a year. At the end of the year all of my financial institutions ( Banks credit cards) had changed the address on their own, except Citibank. Next thing I noticed I stop getting statements in the mail. And right at that time they got McNeely comin next thing I noticed I stop getting statements in the mail. And right at that time they changed my minimum balance requirement on my account without letting me know. And started charging me $35 fee every month. Soon this fee exhausted my checking account and then they started charging me overdraft fee. Which became nearly 2000 bucks. They ate all my money in fees. I’m NOT letting this go easily. I’ll fight this unjust cunning behavior of Citibank and will publicize it on social media.

#34

Very stingy card

Got approved for $3K, they won’t work with you to raise the credit limit. I have other cards with $30K limit. What’s good with $3K for balance transfer? worthless card.

Balance Transfers Deadline

Got this card to help pay off substantial debt from another credit card. I was excited about the balance transfer offer because even with the fees I would have been paying less than the interest that I was going to pay with my high debt card. 0% APR for 21 months, zero late fees, and balance transfers was just what I needed-- except that the balance transfer offered only lasts 4 months. After that, I was no longer to make balance transfers making this card useless. I tried finding this stipulation in my introduction packet and finding it somewhere in the fine print, but was unable to find anything relating to this deadline. I feel hoodwinked and now I just have another credit card I need to worry about.

Great Card

Great card if you are smart about your planning. 21 months of no interest, no late fees, etc is a great feature if you have any major purchases coming up. Customer service is always quick to have someone on the line (within 90 seconds), and able to resolve issues quickly as well. I have enjoyed the card for the 12 months that I have had it.

#37

Seriously Great Card, and perfect for 21 months

I am not sure why people are posting dumb crap about other debts with Citi-Bank. I don’t can about your other debts or problems with the company, I only care about this card, and if you pay as needed this card is great. I have a much higher limit than any of these other folks listed on here, and it was perfect for me.
If you are looking to do a large purchase with 0% interest and need about 2 years to pay it off, then this card is perfect for you.

#38

Just Ok

I have a perfect credit score and was approved for a credit limit more than half of what my other cards are. Definitely see what people are complaining about here. I’m a small business owner and the 0% APR is great. A little disapointed with the credit limit… I don’t think I would sign up for a Citi card again in the future. Will likely just cancel after promotional period ends as I see no benefits in keeping this card past that point (high APR and low credit limit).

#39

Not a good card

Every purchase you make with this card will be declined for security reasons. Go with Amex or Chase, stay away from this one.

Too good to be true!

Be careful. Just looked on citibank website and found this notation in their terms and conditions. Take note of the balance transfer time frame! 4 months! See below directly from their website. So if you have 4K balance you need to pay 1k month to pay it off before charged interest.

Balance transfers must be completed within 4 months of account opening. After the introductory period ends, the standard purchase APR will be applied to unpaid introductory balances, new purchases and new balance transfers. The standard variable APR for purchases and cash advances is 15.24% - 25.24%, based on your creditworthiness. Minimum interest charge – $0.50. Fee for foreign purchases – 3% of the U.S. dollar amount of each purchase. Cash advance fee – either $10 or 5% of the amount of each cash advance, whichever is greater. Balance transfer fee – either $5 or 3% of the amount of each transfer, whichever is greater. New cardmembers only. Subject to credit approval. Additional limitations, terms and conditions apply. You will be given further information when you apply.
