Citibank’s was the poorest bank I ever use did you believe that they blocked my account for only updates information and they didn’t backed to me they took this stupid action after more then 6 years form me used the same account and I called them several times although I was a gold member
My recommendation for everyone never thing to open account with this bank and I have all documents to prove

Bunch of thieves and liars

This is the the third time this week I have a negative balance.Citibank postponed my payment on my phone bill,twice that they had to follow up with me in order for me to find out the payment bounced,and when it did the money was not sent back to my account.And the people in their call center had the audacity to act like I didn’t manage my funds properly! I will be terminating my relationship with them they are not making my life any easier.

citibank worst bank ever

I saw $300 promotion offer, anyway I was looking for an account, I applied online. After entering all data they said they need some documents from me. The online letter is very confusing with so many grammatical mistakes.
Before I sent a letter they sent me a letter with account number and said its open. I thought I don’t need to send any document they didn’t mention anything in the mail regarding pending docs.
Then after 5-7 days they sent another email letter saying account is “pending to open”. I called them they said account is already open but they will not send atm before I send those docs.
I sent all the docs and then, I had to follow up for next step. They finally sent atm and asking me to go online citi.com/register, I went there and its asking PIN. There is nothing written in the ATM letter about PIN. Again I called them up and they said PIN comes separately. oh really!!! you could mention all this in the letter. it is so much that every step I have to call them.
Finally PIN came and I activated card and then try to register online. Then it says its not matching information almost 10 try and called them they said ATM wasn’t activated which I did on phone and confirmed activation on phone.
It finally went to next step it shows if I want to use existing user name of my costco citi credit card, I took the option and not takig it, I called them and she said I have to create new credential it cannot be mapped with that user name… really you only give option and then explain. I was tired with citi bank by now. They do expriment on us. for each and every step you have to call them. no clear instruction for anything. they don’t seem to be professionals.
I requested to close this account, I don’t want to work with this bank. who knows I have to call them for every deposit and withdrawl :wink:

Never Citibank again

Charged me interest for being 3 days late-- ok, I get it. But then they charged me interest for the next month, paid on time. This is their policy. It just happened that that balance, the one paid on time, was huge because of some medical bills incurred unexpectedly, a big heating bill, etc. When I called them, they would not even consider removing or lowering the overblown interest charge (I have good credit; interest rate should have been lower anyway). I also spoke to a manager with no results.
I have been a customer for many years and always pay my bill on time. I also pay online, so they don’t have to deal with paper. I have cancelled my account. If I could rate them ZERO I would.

Needs more bank locations!!!

I really hate the fact that there are so few actual bank locations and so many deposit only atm 7-Eleven locations. Considering Switching to a bank that has more locations. And I’ve never had so many problems with a bank card ever. It’s like that either very cheaply made or something else is going on but something needs to be done about this

Good Customer Service

I was suppose to receive a new card and 2 weeks after I requested one, it still never showed up. When I contacted Citibank, I learned that it had never been mailed out and I was in urgent need of it. Sorry I’m a stupid college student that doesn’t make a lot and is still learning to keep up with bills. Either way, it sucked and was a fault on their end. She passed me on to a gentleman who verified that it hadn’t been mailed and apologized. He offered to expedite the new mailed card as overnight delivery which was a relief to hear. Thanks again! Keep up the good business ethic.

Terrible Customer Service

Citibank stopped doing business in my state a few years back. I had credit cards and a checking account with them. You cannot get a human on the phone when you call them, when you do, they transfer you or cannot help you. I will never back with them again.

Citibank have the absolute worst customer service and when it comes to solving and resolving a solution that was their fault. The managers that manage the specific departments are just as worst. I can’t wait to finish off my payments so I never have to deal with them again.

Awful!

This bank has terribly inconvenient hours, awful customer service, terrible website and app, and terrible business practices. If you bank at Citibank and need any kind of service whatsoever, you can expect to jump through hoops and waste at least half a day trying to resolve your issue. That being said, I’ve had great service from inside the branches in most locations. Unfortunately, I don’t have time to visit the branch for every mundane issue. If you’re like me and prefer to deal with things on the go, Citibank is not going to work out for you.

The online platform is appalling. Customer service is weak and their general attitude towards their customers is apathetic.

Slow to register online account

While you can open an account online and they will take your funds immediately, they won’t let you access your account online until they send you a physical debit card, which took over a week. Infuriating. Don’t use if you care about reliable and quick access to your new account or funds, better banking options elsewhere.

Worst online banking and customer service

They do not take responsibility for any issues and do not want to spend any time to resolve it. Simply the worst on line banking and customer support. Have waited over 30 min every time on the phone. Will plan to change banks shortly. It is unfortunate as Citibank was my bank for a while.
