My insure was cut off for a bit due to not returning the form in time an I was in the hospital in that time frame. I need to know how much I owe.

You can call the hospital or doctor’s office and ask to send an itemized statement to you.
If you were uninsured you will also want to ask them for an uninsured discount and/or financial assistance if you can’t afford the bill.
If they fail to provide you with an adjustment I would also reach out to a medical bill advocate who could audit the records for errors in coding, compliance, pricing and negotiate your out of pocket expenses since it’s estimated that 80% of medical bills have errors.
You would want to find a medical bill advocate who works on a contingency basis (normally 25-35%) of what they save you and if they don’t find any errors their services are free.
Best of luck to you!
