Demeaning

Having become acutely aware of corrupt and unethical practices at US Bank, I have decided to switch banks. Went in to pay off my mortgage, and could not complete because the only person who had the correct form was out sick that day. They told me to drive to another branch or return the next day, which is an hour drive for me. I suggested they drive to another branch and get the form for me while I did other errands, but was told they could not do that. Banker then closed the office door to prevent other customers from hearing me, although I was neither loud nor vulgar. No apologies. No assistance. Most arrogant attitudes and lack of concern for the customer I have ever seen. I cannot wait to close everything at US Bank and be done with them forever.

Do NOT bank here.

I have banked with numerous banks in my lifetime and worked for one for 6 years. This bank is by far the worst bank when it comes to customer service, common courtesy and customer relationships. I was in a car accident a year ago and finally received my settlement proceeds from my lawyer. I went and deposited the check in a joint account I had with my husband at US Bank. I was told because of the amount, they would need to put a hold on the check for 7 days. I was fine with this as I understood the policies and procedures that comes with check deposits. A couple of days later, I found my debit card wasn’t working and my husband realized his wasn’t either. When he called, he was told that the fraud department speculated that the check was fraud and that they were closing down all of our accounts. They did absolutely nothing to try and verify the check (which is legit.) They didn’t bother calling the bank the check was drawn on OR my lawyer to ensure that he did in fact issue this check to me. Instead, they took it upon themself to just speculate that the check was fraud and close down the accounts due to speculation, rather then verifying anything. On top of that, we weren’t notified of any of this. They were just going to close down the accounts and send us a cashier check in the mail. Because the accounts are frozen and in the process of being closed, my husband was unable to receive his direct deposit from his work, our mortgage and insurance bills have bounced and we have no access to any of our hard earned money until this is dealt with. Just save yourself the headache and find another bank to deal with your financial needs.

Worst customer service

T****, a bank teller in Omaha, NE was so rude when I asked a simple question about my temporary debit card like I was asking the dumbest question he ever heard. I just wanted to make sure not messing up on activating a card.

Terrible Bank

Customer service is terrible. I actually had a bank associate in the Bakersfield,Ca branch argue with me about fees they were charging my account when the draft was refunded to my account I pulled out $20 and they are charging me $36 for taking it out of my own account! I’m closing this account immediately! They will suck your account dry with all the fees they are charging. That’s why they want you to keep at least $1500 in the account a month so they can keep those fees coming out!

So far, so good.

After being with TCF Bank for way too long, it’s definitely a relief to be banking with a financial institution that let’s me deposit and spend the way I need to. I have only had to contact customer support a few times, no more than 5, and the representatives were friendly, helpful, and positive throughout the conversations. Not once did I feel rushed, or they were trying to hurry up and get me off the phone. They actually listened to my questions, and took the time take sure I was completely satisfied with the answer. Also, the closet branch is only about 4 blocks from me and the staff there were more than accommodating, and willing to actually listen.

Thieves

They’ve been stealing money from my account. After they do so they redo the numbers to make them look right. I’m now taking screen shots of this to show they are redoing the numbers. I talked to them about this the main thing I was told is to keep track of the money in the account cuz that’s not they’re job…

RUN FROM US BANK

I HAVE BANKED WITH USBANK FOR A COUPLE MONTHS NOW. EXTREMELY HIGH FEES!!! IF YOU CALL CUSTOMER SERVICE, THEY DON’T HAVE ANY IDEA HOW TO HANDLE ANY BASIC SITUATION. THEY DON’T FOLLOW GUIDELINES AND ARE NOT TRAINED PROPERLY. I HAVE HAD MAYBE TWO REPRESENTATIVES, THAT HAVE BEEN SORTA NICE AND TRAINED, BUT THAT NOT SAYING MUCH. THEY ALWAYS REFER YOU TO THE BRANCH THAT OPENED THE ACCOUNTANT. THE BRANCH EMPLOYEES ARE EVEN WORSE AND UNFRIENDLY. THE FEES ARE EXTREMELY HIGH AND REOCCURRING DAILY. THE CAPS ARE NECESSARY BECAUSE ITS A WARNING!! DO NOT BANK WITH US BANK!!! YOU WILL LOSE MONEY AND THE FRUSTRATION OF THE UNTRAINED STAFF TO ANSWER QUESTIONS!!! THE WORSE EXPERIENCE FOR BANKS!!!

Pathetic Customer Service

So, we’ve had US Bank for the last five years. It has been just okay for the majority of that time. Unfriendly staff at the counters. Phone customer service extremely inconsistent. We have a vehicle lease throught them. It was supposed to be on autopay through checking. The first four months we had to pay directly as they didn’t take out payments. As we assumed it would remain that way, we continued making payments. Suddenly, they decided to take out the auto pay after we already paid. Nothing like a double payment of over $600 coming out of checking. When we called, they said their system does not recognize when a payment is made on the lease. Strange considering if we missed a payment we would undoubtedly get contacted about it. We called and they said they would have to send a check as they cannot transfer the money back. She said three business days. A week later no check. We called again. They said it should be to us by the end of the week. Two weeks later. Still no check. We called back and they said two to four weeks. It would be nice to get the same answer more than once. This is no way to treat customers. The bank should have just deposited the money into checking and had the leasing section send them a check. They definitely gave us a reason to switch banks.

Mistake handling

I bank at different back but accidentally left my debit card in a US bank ATM and didn’t realize it till the next day. When I went back first thing the next morning to get it, they had shredded it. Seriously could they not wait a day to see if I just made a mistake before they shred it. They said if it is not a US bank card they immediately shred it. Seriously! And right before the holidays! Ugggghhhhhh . . . .

Lazy

Absolutely no customers in the bank. Two executives sitting at desks. I asked them if we could get a document notarized. We are account holders. They said they only notarize their own documents. Obviously way too busy. Redondo Beach

Horrible

Worst experience with a bank ever. Held my payroll deposit for 9 days, let my loan payment get returned and charged me a late fee, returned a check when the money was in the account. Out of 6 people that I spoke to only 1 was polite and apologetic. They did nothing to help me the customer, will not be banking here any more. They do not care for thier customers at all.

Exercise in Frustration

We have been trying to get a lien release on a vehicle we purchased that was originally financed at US Bank. It has been over two weeks, and each call ends in the same results - nothing has been done. And calling is another thing! It takes anywhere from 20 to 40 minutes to talk with someone. I would never do business with this bank. No customer service whatsoever.

Horrible experience

Applied for an equiline. After 2 months and dropping my credit from the 800’s to mid 700’s because they took over two months to approve it, I still didn’t get it because of customer service errors. They wanted me to start the process all over. Fat chance.

Poor Customer Service/ Business Managment

I am currently a client with US Bank for our home mortgage. US Bank Mortgage a poorly run business. My husband and I are not impressed at all with their overall customer service and business efforts. We are first time homebuyers and this process with US Bank has been a nightmare since the beginning.
I was hopeful that our experience with US Bank mortgage would be the easiest part of being a homebuyer. Yet, with US Bank, it has been quite the opposite. They have not been helpful what-so-ever since our mortgage was transferred to their service. US Bank does the bear minimum or lack-there-of. Instead of providing an acceptable level of customer, service for any inquiry to US Bank they respond with a subpar or better-said atrocious communication to their clients. As though US Bank cannot be bothered with the client’s problem.
I can state that if you choose to go with US Bank do not wait for them to communicate with you regarding any aspect of your account. It will have to be on you to communicate with them regarding any questions/ inquiry, etc. In addition, if you are lucky to get through to a member of their company (Customer Service department), do not expect much except a on-going run-around. (Also, watch for random additional fees, which they do not disclose, usually listed as “other” payment.)
It is disgusting to see this type of customer negligence from a large company such as US Bank when we are the clients providing our hard earned money (payment). Be careful before you agree to do business with this company. They are not worth the aggravation.

Poor banking service and system

Worst bank services I’ve ever experienced. Definitely not recommending this bank to anyone ever. There is no doubt I’m going to close my accounts with them.

Fraud in my account

We had noticed fraud on our account. With international processing fees… We went in spoke with the manager of the bank where he assured us he would take care of the problem. Well he didn’t he gave us new cards never turned off the old this happened multiple times… to wear we had 7 open cards on our account. Then a whopping 384 dollars came out they refused to let me deal with it as it was off my husband’s cards… I had to literally contact the entirentire fraud hierarchy to have it fixed!! Now I can’t get into mobile banking to monitor my account because they continue to have technical issues
