Lisa has dedicated her career to the business of healthcare. Over 25 years ago she began by working at a small community hospital as the assistant to the controller and from there began a career in the revenue side of healthcare. Lisa has over 20 years of experience in management, ranging from small practice management organizations to large healthcare providers in multiply states. Her roles included: Director of operations, manager of administration, practice manager, compliance officer, and business office manager. Lisa went to school at Mt San Antonio College, and Chaffey College, took multiply course with the AAPC, HFMA, HCCA, as well as other industry related seminars. In addition Lisa was the instruction for medical billing and coding at West L.A. College Adult Education program for two years.
All this experience and dedication has prepared Lisa for the role as Executive Director for BluSkies Patient Advocacy, and deepened her believe that there are tangible solutions to the medical debt crisis many Americans face. She has the ability and determination to assist families with most issues relating to unresolved medical debt.
Lisa has lived and worked in Southern California for most of her life and knows personally how a medical crisis can cause devastation for patients and their families. Knowing what she learned in her career about the business of healthcare, made the process of managing her medical claims a bit easier, but she knows for most Americans that encounter the healthcare system, they need professional expert help.
