Now that you’ve taken a long, hard look in the mirror to determine your net worth and life goals, it’s time to figure out how you’re going to manage your assets and achieve those goals.
Whether it’s paying off your student loans, getting married and starting a family, or saving for a beach house for your retirement, proper planning and budgeting will make your goals attainable. Some of us have started thinking about how we will achieve our goals, and some of us have not.
If you fall into the first category, tell us what you are doing to manage your money and achieve your goals. How will you go about paying off your student loans and credit card debt? How are you saving up to buy your first home? How much of your paycheck do you spend versus save? How are you going to retire when you want to?
If you fall into the latter category, do not fear. It’s never too late to make a game plan. Put on your thinking cap and brainstorm – make a plan of how you’re going to go about managing your hard-earned money and paying off those oh-so-nasty debts. Think about how you’re going to get to where you want to be in a year, five years, 10 years and 20 years.
