Sony’s PlayStation 4, or PS4, gaming console offers astonishing graphics, a Blu-ray Disc player, online multiplayer capabilities and apps for streaming movies, music and live sports. Its new successor, the PS4 Pro, is set for release Nov. 10 and features upgrades like improved graphics, a faster processor and 4K gaming and video streaming capability.

Anyone who has either sophisticated video game console on his or her wish list will want the best price possible. Scouring Black Friday ads from all the gaming and electronic retailers, we’ve found the top deals on PS4 gaming consoles.

A PS4 is a fair chunk of change so you might want to protect your purchase by paying with the right credit card. Some credit cards will pay you the difference if you find a lower price later, extend the product warranty, or protect against loss or damage.

Last year, the top PS4 deals were bundles, which included a controller and a game from the “Uncharted” series free with purchase of the 500GB console.

  • Kohl’s offered the bundle at a $50 discount ($299.99), plus gave $15 in Kohl’s cash for every $50 spent. That came to $75 in Kohl’s cash with the purchase of a bundle. The PS4 deal was offered in store only from 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving to 1 p.m. on Black Friday, and shoppers had to redeem their Kohl’s cash from Nov. 30 to Dec. 6.
  • GameStop sold the bundle for $50 off ($299.99) in store and online from 5 a.m. on Black Friday through Sunday.
