Bealls Florida Black Friday Deals From 2013
Retail chain Bealls Florida is a provider of casual and coastal-themed products. In its more than 535 stores and from its online storefront, Bealls sells a broad selection of apparel for men, women and children as well as a variety of home merchandise.
Last year, Bealls released an impressive 48-page Black Friday ad. The brightly colored ad contained hundreds of doorbusters, not to mention giveaways, coupons and other incentives. Plus, Bealls joined the list of major retailers opening their doors and discount inventories a day early. The store started its sales at 8 p.m. Thanksgiving Day. Price cuts and other offers continued Black Friday and into Saturday. Online purchases of $50 or more on Thursday and Friday qualified for free shipping.
Among the over 500 doorbusters – called “Beall Ringers” – were these standout offers:
- 60% off Christmas decor
- 30-50% off entire stock of handbags and handbag accessories
- 50% off ladies’ watches
- 50% off toys from select brands
- 50%-70% off women’s tops
- 25% off Nike activewear for men
- 25% off entire stock of Callaway golf gifts
- 60% off entire stock of luggage
- $10 off entire stock of Crocs for ladies and men
Must-have items included:
- Keurig Elite Brewer for $99.99 (regularly $159.99)
- KitchenAid Classic Stand Mixer for $229.99 or $199.99 with mail-in rebate (regularly $299.99)
- Ladies’ boots for $19.99 (regularly $50-$60)
Additionally, Bealls gave many competing stores a run for their money with the number of coupons it was able to pack into its Black Friday ad. One coupon allowed shoppers to take an additional 50% off of clearance items between 7 a.m. and 1 p.m. Friday. An “extreme coupon” gave shoppers $10 off a purchase of $50 or more, $15 off a purchase of $75 or more or $20 off a purchase of $100 or more. It was valid from 2 p.m. Friday until 10 p.m. Saturday. There was also an online coupon for $10 off a purchase of $25 or more.
As for promotions, the first 100 customers in line at 8 p.m. on Thanksgiving at each Bealls store could participate in a scratch-off card promotion. One winner at each store walked away with an iPad Mini, while others had a chance to win a gift card or Bealls Bucks. Starting at 7 a.m. on Black Friday, the first 200 customers in line at each store could enter to win a lifetime discount (20% off purchases for life). There was one winner at each location. Shoppers could also earn $10 Bealls Bucks for every $50 they spent in the month of November and December.
Between its huge discounts and enticing promotions, Bealls proved to be a worthy Black Friday retailer in 2013.
