Best Navy Exchange Black Friday Deals From 2013

Retail store Navy Exchange offers a broad range of consumer goods to active-duty, reserve and retired members of the U.S. military and their dependents. With locations around the country and world, the store sells electronics, home appliances, clothing and more.

Last year’s Black Friday sales featured low prices on a large selection of items, including electronics, cookware, beauty supplies, luggage and clothing. Discounts in brick-and-mortar locations were offered on Black Friday, while early-bird customers could shop online at mynavyexchange.com on Thanksgiving Day.

In the electronics department, laptops from Sony VAIO and HP featured discounts of $30 to $130. Of these the 14-inch Sony VAOI notebook (500GB) was one of the best finds, priced at only $399 (regularly $529). Navy Exchange offered a great deal for Apple fans as well: If you bought a Mac computer Friday, you got an Apple TV.

But the savings weren’t limited to computers. Other good deals in the department:

  • Beats Studio 2.0 headphones: $199.99 (regularly $249.99)
  • Sony Bravia 40-inch Class D-LED HDTV: $349.99 (regularly $489.99)
  • Nikon Coolpix S9500 digital camera: $245.99 (regularly $345.99)
  • Samsung Wi-Fi digital camera: $99.99 (regularly $174.99)

When it came to the home, Navy Exchange offered 30% off Dyson floor care, fans and heaters – an impressive discount for the expensive brand. For example, the DC44 vacuum sold for only $272.99. The discount was higher than the 25% discount at Home Depot, Sears and Bed Bath & Beyond and only slightly less than the 33% off at Kohl’s. For the kitchen, a Farberware 12-piece cookware set sold for only $29.99, half its regular price of $59.99.

The sale also featured discounts on men’s, women’s and children’s clothing. Apparel, outerwear and accessories from the pricy labels The North Face, Columbia and Under Armour were marked down 20%. The store’s entire stock of handbags, small leather goods, sunglasses and watches were also marked down 20%.

Remember that this store offers these prices only to current and retired military members and their dependents.
