Best Sears Black Friday Deals From 2013

One of the oldest department stores in the country, Sears offers an extensive inventory, from clothing to home and garden appliances and auto parts at its online store and numerous retail locations around the country.

Last year the store’s Black Friday ad was almost as extensive as its selection of products. The ad spanned 64 pages and featured more than a thousand doorbusters for the whole family.

In the clothing department, Sears offered some great deals on coats and jackets for both sexes:

  • Bongo faux leather jacket for juniors: $19.99
  • Faux wool coat for misses at $16.99
  • Craftsman flannel shirt jacket for men: $19.99
  • Carhartt duck jacket for men: $49.99
  • Covington quilted jacket for women: $19.99

Other impressive clothing deals include:

  • All bras and panties: 50% off
  • Kardashian Kollection loungewear: 60% off
  • Levi’s 559 relaxed straight jeans for men: $34.99
  • Men’s Covington and Structure sweaters: 60% off
  • Men’s Covington dress shirts and boxed dress shirts: $14.99

Shoes and boots also featured some impressively low prices. In addition to a 50% discount on Diehard boots, assorted women’s fashion boots sold for only $19.99, and toddler slippers by Nickelodeon, Marvel and Disney were subject to a buy-one-get-one-free offer.

When it came to discounts, 60 was the magic number. Assorted clothing items, such as kids’ fleece and baby Christmas sets, were featured at 60% off, and, at the same excellent discount, women’s handbags from Genna de Rossi, Rosetti and Laura Scott could be found at prices as low as $10 a bag.

Jewelry discounts ranged from 50% off on boxed fashion jewelry, 75% off on fine jewelry and up to 50% off on all watches.

Sears offered some great bargains on major appliances, with over 30% off on refrigerators, washers and dryers. Here are some of its best deals:

  • Kenmore Elite 28-cu. ft. refrigerator: $1,599.99
  • Kenmore 21.9-cu ft. French-door bottom-freezer refrigerator with internal dispenser: $1,099
  • Frigidaire 26-cu. ft. refrigerator: $899.99
  • Kenmore 3.6-cu. ft. washer and 7.5-cu. ft. dryer: $799.99

For shoppers looking to invest in household appliances, vacuums were another great pick. Sears offered 25% off Dyson models and 50% off vacuums from other brands.

Black Friday is usually one of the best times to buy electronics, and last year at Sears was no exception, with the sale featuring great prices on HDTVs and digital cameras:

  • Samsung 55″ slim LED 1080p 120Hz smart HDTV: $899.99
  • RCA 32″ LED HDTV: $179.99
  • Samsung 46″ class 1080p HDTV: $499.99
  • Nikon L820 long-zoom digital camera: $199.99

Like Best Buy, Sears offered the 10.1-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab3 tablet for $299.99

For bed and bath needs, pillows cost only $3.49 and bath towels $5.99. Mattresses were 50-60% off.

The retailer also offered some great deals on products for your garage and basement:

  • Courtland billiard table with bonus cue rack: $299.99 (discount of $200)
  • Craftsman bolt-on 20v max. lithium-ion drill/driver: $59.99
  • Craftsman lawn mower: $899.99
  • Bladez Stratum indoor cycle: $249.99

Like fellow large retailers Best Buy and Walmart, Sears opened its doors early on “Gray Thursday.” Shopping began at 8 p.m. on Thanksgiving.

If last year is any indication, it’s a great idea to sign up for the free rewards program ShopYourWay, or even apply for a store credit card if you’re a serious shopper. In 2013, Sears offered 3% back on all purchases for ShopYourWay members and 10% back for cardholders (to be used before Jan. 1).
