Best Ulta Black Friday Deals From 2013
When it comes to beauty products, Ulta has you covered. With an e-commerce site and more than 700 stores across the country, the retailer offers a broad inventory including cosmetics, hair products, skin care supplies, beauty tools and fragrances.
Last year, the retailer released four pages of bargains for Black Friday. The selection featured cosmetics, perfumes and hair care products and also included two coupons. Most items fell under $20, making Ulta a great stop for savings-savvy shoppers.
For online shoppers, the sale began early, starting at 7 p.m. Central time on Thanksgiving. At brick-and-mortar locations, doors opened an hour later, and sales lasted through Friday and Saturday. The following Monday, Ulta advertised more online-only deals at its website in honor of Cyber Monday.
When it came to makeup, Ulta priced the Starry Lights Light-Up Blockbuster eye shadow kit, valued at $200, at only $17. Shoppers could also purchase the three-piece bareMinerals eye kit, which includes eye shadow and mascara and is valued at $44, for only $10. But eye makeup wasn’t all. Lipstick fans could grab the three-piece Lip Lotto set from Benefit for only $18, though the store placed its value at $54.
Shoppers looking to meet multiple makeup needs in one box could pick up a five-piece Laura Geller kit for $19. The set, valued at $90, included tinted face primer, blush, tinted eye primer, mascara and lipstick. Another great find was a five-piece Ulta Professional brush set, regularly priced at $19.99 but offered for only $10 during the sale.
In the fragrance department, shoppers received a free gift with any purchase of $40 or more. The five-piece holiday serving set offered was valued at $50 and limited to one per customer. More free gifts included a free tote with any $59.50 purchase from the One Direction collection and a free Coach Love rollerball with any $45 purchase from the Coach fragrance collection.
Ulta’s hair care section was another great destination for discounts. Organix hair care and bath products, such as the line’s biotin and collagen shampoo, were promoted in a buy-one-get-one-free deal, making Black Friday a great time to stock up. In hairspray and styling products, a range of Matrix items, including Biolage Styling, Total Results and Vavoom, sold for only $7.99 each. Even better, hair spray from Big Sexy Hair sold for $6.99.
Shoppers could add to their savings by clipping the coupons included in the ad. One coupon offered a $3.50 discount on any purchase of $10 or more (that’s 35% off!), while the other provided the holder with 25% off the Ulta Chi red pro hair dryer or 1-inch flat iron, making each item only $74.96 with the discount.
