Fitbit wireless activity trackers and wristbands are some the hottest gift items in tech this holiday season, even outselling the highly anticipated Apple Watch. In fact, this year Fitbits have outsold all other fitness tracking products on the market combined, not counting the Apple Watch. Fitbits are enormously popular among the exercise and fitness crowd, and their prices are just right for holiday gift-giving.

But the term Fitbit can mean a number of different things. There are different Fitbits on the market — some track the steps you’ve walked and the calories you’ve burned, others track your sleep, some track your heart rate and others track your progress toward exercise goals. So what does each different Fitbit do and where are the best Black Friday deals for each one? We’ve tracked the prices at all of the Black Friday sales to compile a list of the best Fitbit deals.

Fitbit Zip

One of the most basic Fitbits, this affordable clip-on device shows your steps taken, distance traveled and calories burned, then relays it all to your smartphone or computer. The Zip is not a Fitbit wristband but instead a clip-on device roughly the size of a quarter.

Black Friday offers:

  • Wal-Mart: $39
  • Best Buy: $39.99
  • Target: $39.99
  • Kohl’s: $39.99 (until 1 p.m. Black Friday)

All of the above stores are offering the Fitbit Zip for $20 off, and all offer the deal on both Thanksgiving Day and Black Friday.

Fitbit Flex

If you’re interested in a wristband model of the Fitbit, the Flex is the most affordable of all the Fitbit wristbands. The Fitbit Flex shows how many hours you’ve slept, the quality of your sleep and how many hours you’ve been active.

Regular price: $99.99

Black Friday offers:

  • Wal-Mart: $59.99

Wal-Mart is running the only Black Friday special we’ve seen on the Fitbit Flex, and its deal of 40% off is the steepest Black Friday discount on any Fitbit model.

Fitbit Charge

The Fitbit Charge is also a wristband device that adds a nice digital display that shows the time of day while tracking your steps taken, calories burned and amount of sleep you’re getting. It also can provide caller ID when connected to your smartphone.

Regular price: $129.99

Black Friday offers:

  • Best Buy: $89.99
  • Target: $89.99
  • Kohl’s: $89.99

Fitbit Charge HR

Fitbit also offers a higher-end version of the Fitbit Charge. The Fitbit Charge HR monitors your heart rate in addition to steps taken, calories burned, hours slept and caller ID. We recently covered the difference between Fitbit Charge and Fitbit Charge HR for your reference.

  • Kohl’s: $119.99

Fitbit Surge Fitness Watch

The top-selling GPS watch in the United States, the Fitbit Surge adds GPS location data and tracking for other activities like cycling and cross training, plus the ability to play music you have on your smartphone. This is in addition to the Fitbit capabilities of tracking steps, calories burned, hours slept and caller ID.

Regular price: $249.99

Black Friday offers:

  • Best Buy: $199.99
  • Wal-Mart: $199.99
