Bank of America Credit Cards: Extra 2x Rewards on November 9

Have a Bank of America® credit card? Mark your calendar for November 9.
Bank of America® has announced a one-day bonus rewards event, dubbed More Rewards Day, for all personal and small-business credit card holders. On Nov. 9, 2023, all Bank of America® cardholders will earn an additional 2x rewards per $1 spent on the first $2,500 in eligible purchases.
That’s an extra 2% cash back (up to $50 maximum) or 2 points or miles (5,000 points/miles maximum) on top of the rewards you’re already earning. If you have a card that doesn’t normally earn rewards, such as the BankAmericard® credit card, you’ll earn 2% cash back in the form of a statement credit (up to the spending cap).
All Bank of America® consumer and small-business credit cards are eligible, and no enrollment is necessary. If you have multiple Bank of America® cards, each unique account will come with its own $2,500 spending cap. You’ll receive your promotional cash rewards, points, miles or statement credit within two billing cycles.
Bank of America Preferred Rewards® customers will earn their Preferred Rewards bonus rewards on qualified purchases amounts (as normal), but not on the additional bonus rewards earned for this promotion.
Perfect timing for holiday purchases
Bank of America® had a similar promotion last year but with no spending cap. Even with the $2,500 purchase limit per account, this is a timely promotion for earning bonus rewards on holiday shopping. If your budget permits, you could also prepay bills or other expenses and lock-in those extra rewards.
This could also be a good time to consider grabbing a new sign-up bonus along with the bonus rewards promotion. For example, the Bank of America® Premium Rewards® credit card currently offers new cardholders the following bonus: Receive 60,000 online bonus points - a $600 value - after you make at least $4,000 in purchases in the first 90 days of account opening. If you apply soon and receive the card before November 9, any purchases you make on More Rewards Day will count toward the spend threshold required to earn the sign-up bonus while also earning an additional 2x rewards (up to the spending cap).
