Chase has brought back a limited-time offer that allows you to redeem points for Apple products at a better rate. Through May 31, 2022, your points will be worth up to 50% more when you use them to purchase Apple products through the Chase Ultimate Rewards® portal.
Most of the time, Chase Ultimate Rewards® points are worth 1 cent apiece, including on Apple merchandise. But during the month of May, your points will be worth 10% to 50% more on Apple products, depending on which card you have. Here’s what you can expect:
Points are worth 1.1 cents (10% more) for Apple redemptions on the original Chase Freedom®, Chase Freedom Flex℠, Chase Freedom Unlimited®, Chase Freedom® Student credit card, Ink Business Cash® Credit Card, Ink Cash credit card and Ink Business Unlimited® Credit Card.
Points are worth 1.25 cents (25% more) for Apple redemptions on Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card, Ink Business Preferred® Credit Card and Ink Plus Business credit card.
Points are worth 1.5 cents (50% more) for Apple redemptions on Chase Sapphire Reserve® card and the JP Morgan Reserve credit card.
This isn’t the first time Chase has offered elevated rewards on Apple products. Cardholders had access to a similar bonus on rewards points in November 2021. These limited-time offers could help you eke more value out of your Chase points, especially if you were already planning on cashing in your rewards for other merchandise, cash or gift cards. Redemption rates on these options haven’t changed.
But if you aim to get the highest possible redemption rate for your rewards points, consider all of your options first. Redeeming your rewards another way could give you even more value.
